We read the spec sheet, not the sales page.
Steel type, hardness, tang construction and blade geometry are published numbers. We use those, and we say where they came from.

We tell you what we have and haven't handled.
Where we have a blade in hand, we say so and show it. Where we are working from published specifications, we say that instead. We do not describe field tests we did not run.

Every commercial relationship is disclosed, on the page, before the link.
Some links here earn us a commission. That never changes which blade we recommend, and we say plainly when the honest answer is the cheaper one.
